Why Choose a Burial at Sea Service?
Choosing a burial at sea service can be a meaningful way to honor the life of a loved one who had a connection to the ocean or a passion for sailing. Here are some reasons why someone may choose a burial at sea:
-
Connection to the sea: If the deceased had a love for the ocean, a burial at sea can be a fitting tribute to their life. It can also be a way to return them to the place they felt most at home.
-
Religious or cultural reasons: Some religions and cultures have traditions that involve burial at sea. For example, in Hinduism, it is believed that scattering ashes in the Ganges River will lead to the liberation of the soul.
-
Environmental considerations: For those who are concerned about the environmental impact of traditional burials, a burial at sea can be a more eco-friendly option. The ashes of the deceased can be scattered at sea, where they will become part of the natural ecosystem.
-
Personal preference: Ultimately, a burial at sea may simply be a personal preference for the deceased or their loved ones. It can be a way to create a unique and memorable farewell that reflects the individual's life and personality.
It's important to note that there are legal requirements and regulations surrounding burials at sea, so it's important to work with a reputable service provider who can help navigate these requirements. Please contact us and we'll take care of it all for you.
