STEP #1

Purchase & Instructions

  • Choose the package that best resonates what you want to do for your loved one, add it to your cart, and follow the simple checkout process.

  • Once your purchase has been made, you will receive an email with a link and further instructions to ship the cremains.

If you purchased a customized ceremony, Ashes2Oceans will contact you to finalize the ceremony

STEP #2

Package & Ship

  • Follow link to order your FREE Cremation Remains Kit online from USPS

  • Receive USPS kit, which includes “Publication 139: How to Package and Ship Cremated Remains”

  • Package the Cremains as easily instructed by USPS and Publication 39

  • Send to Ashes2Oceans via prepaid Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express.

  • Optional: Enter the USPS tracking code into your Ashes2Oceans Account after sending

  • Track delivery on the USPS website via your USPS tracking code

STEP #3

Receive & Schedule

  • Ashes2Oceans receives your remains

  • You will receive an email with a potential weather window for the next sailing.

STEP #4

Perform & Record

  • Your loved one’s ashes are gently and respectfully brought aboard our vessel on the scheduled day of honor service. We journey 3 + miles between mainland and the Channel Islands Marine Sanctuary, where we position the vessel for scattering

  • We record the Latitude and Longitude position of the honor service in the A20 ship’s log, with your loved one’s info and your info

  • We are then honored to perform the ultimate tribute to your loved one, and will perform the package that you requested with corresponding additional actions (e.g. flowers, chosen music, eulogy, video, pictures, live stream, etc.)

  • Client also receives email notification of Step 4
